In the early beginnings of the investigation, the parents were gobsmacked as to not finding any fingerprints on the refrigerator door handle, and had all but convinced themselves they had raised children with the Adermatoglyphia gene, however, after setting up a sting, where they set up video cameras to record the goings-on, it was found that it was their youngest at work, stealing treats out of the fridge, and unknowingly, it was the toddlers soggy, slobbery teddy bear that was hard at work, rubbing up against the door handle and thus removing any and all evidence related to a culprit.
