If I had the money and energy I would build a huge aviary for all kinds of birds but mostly parakeets, my favorite.

Some zoos and wildlife preserves have large aviaries that visitors can walk through. They're very enjoyable.

When I was a teen I had a friend who lived in a Mansion with her parents.. and in her back garden, alongside the Tennis court was a Beautiful Aviary...

It's interesting that the word aviary can be used for the types I have seen inside neighbors' apartments,
as well as the types described in the posts above: one in an outdoor garden;
or the huge ones designed both for the needs of the bird species, as well as for people to be able to walk or wheelchair, and learn about birds, and kindle the love of preserving nature.

The USA has a non-profit National Aviary in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as do some ornithology universities.
