Word of the Day: Bed Rotting

Bed rotting: The act of spending an extended period in bed, often as a form of relaxation or self-care.

I love doing my bed rotting! Sometimes I will sleep for 12 hours, feels so good relaxing in the bed!

If I slept 12 hours in a row I’d have to call it Bed Wetting. I could do it when I was a teenager but lucky now to get half that much.

I'm the opposite. For most of my life I slept 6 hours/day. When I'm dead tired, I'll "bed rot" for about 8 hours/day.

As much as I would LOVE to sleep for 12 hours, I would be in pain. Just can't stay in bed for more than six hours.

I’ve never heard that term but there are days when my bed is the best place for me to be, especially in the colder months of the year.

As much as I would LOVE to sleep for 12 hours, I would be in pain. Just can't stay in bed for more than six hours.

That was just a sentence I made up for the word.

From teenage years until age 62, I seldom slept more than 5-6 hours a night. Now, sleeping eight hours is wonderful. I rarely wake up unless I have water after 6pm. Have to stick to that rule.
I don’t do naps. My children are incredulous at that fact. But it spoils my regular sleep.

I love having naps but if I sleep too long it DOES ruin my regular sleep.
