Word of the Day - Blurb

I, too, find a blurb more readable and to the point, sometimes,
than needing to read a lengthy article;
And sometimes, it is sufficient and good info.

But a problem, is that the blurbs can often be very misleading.

I strongly wish that one could trust , that a blurb would
not conflict with the complete info, of the actual full article, or whatever it is.

Ever read a blurb regarding a book or movie, or an event or restaurant,
that you pursued it,
and then found it to be so different from your impression,

that you wished you hadn't bothered with it, after having read just the blurb?

In fact I have, sometimes acts as a spoiler in certain circumstances, but when it comes to news articles, I love blurbs. :)

I have been misguided into reading a book that was described in a blurb as thrilling and full of adventure. When I reserved it at the library, I found it was neither. It was the same old story by a different author.

What a shocking ending blurb that is. 😲 :)
