Word of the Day: Deep State

(noun): The theory that a secret, interconnected government organization runs the entire political agenda. (“I think the deep state is to blame for the delay in my tax return.”

I have often heard and read the term "deep state" and had no idea what it meant. Now I know what it refers to. It seems that theory has been around for years under a different name.

There was a great comedian who died and I cannot remember his name but he said this about being elected president:

You are led into a smoke filled room full of people you do not recognize. They sit you down and show scenes of the Kennedy assignation never seen before. The lights come back on and they ask, "Any questions"?

You're response? "What's next on my agenda, fellas?"

I have read several books on the theory that a 'deep state' exists. I find it hard to believe as everything is so chaotic....and without the co-operation of the public, their plans would not come to fruition.
