Etiolated (adjective) - pale and drawn out due to a lack of light; having lost vigor or substance; feeble.

If plants don't get enough light, they can become etiolated.

Recently I clipped a stem off my petunia plant.,,placed the stem in glass of water.
It hasn't etiolated as it has produced a flower.
