Faience (noun - FAY-yahns) - glazed ceramic ware, especially tin-glazed earthenware of the type which includes delftware and majolica.

There was quite a variety of faience at the flea market.

It may seem odd to some but until just now, I had no idea what faience was
or if I've ever encountered any at the various flea markets I've visited. I can
hardly wait to use that word, faience, more often with my mates at the pub,
curmudgeons though they mostly are. Namaste!
