infodemic (sometimes incorrectly referred to as "infomic") refers to:
  • An excessive amount of information, both accurate and inaccurate, circulating rapidly and widely.
  • The proliferation of diverse, often unsubstantiated information related to a crisis, controversy, or event.
  • This information is regarded as intensifying public speculation or anxiety.
  • It can cause confusion and risk-taking behaviors that harm health.
  • The infodemic can lead to mistrust in health authorities and undermine the public health response.
  • It can intensify or lengthen outbreaks because people are unsure how to protect their own health and the health of their families.
In essence, an infodemic is like an "epidemic of information," where a flood of information, including misinformation and disinformation, spreads quickly and can have harmful consequences, particularly during health emergencies.

Some landlords are infodemic distributing a prolific supply of rules and regulations, warnings and admonishments to renters.

Perhaps that idea of mine doesn't work, because it seems more for a health or safety crisis.
Interesting word, so I thought I'd try. 😉😊☺️

I think that word fits. When I saw my entire lease I thought the same thing. It's about 20 pages! 📃
