Word of the Day - Line Shack

Line Shack (noun) - In the Old West, when cowboys still worked cattle a horseback, the term “Line Shack” referred to a small cabin built on the open range where cowboys could shelter while working away from their home ranch.

If you've ever watched "The Lone Ranger", you'd think every line shack was used as an outlaw hideout.

Haven't heard of 'Line shack', but it sounds the same as 'bothy'.....a small building where travellers could shelter.
