Word of the Day: Pedantic

Pedantic is an insulting word used to describe someone who annoys others by correcting small errors, caring too much about minor details, or emphasizing their own expertise especially in some narrow or boring subject matter.

I've worked in many offices in my lifetime, and I can honestly say there were at least one and sometimes two pedantic co-workers at my lunch table.

Pedantic of course does not include mansplaining.

the explanation of something by a man, typically to a woman, in a manner regarded as condescending or patronizing.
