Reciprocity (noun) - the practice of exchanging things with others for mutual benefit, especially privileges granted by one country, person or organization to another; a reciprocal action or concession.

Many international treaties are based on certain reciprocities.

In the future I think that more and more cities, as we know them now, will become reciprocities.

An eye for an eye is an example of a bad way to practice reciprocity.

I first learned this word, when moving between different USA States, with a Driver License, that you are required to change to the new locale, if staying there.

If you move to one without reciprocity with your previous State, then there are more steps to getting your legal License in the new State;
whereas if you've moved to a State with reciprocity,
then they accept you as an adequate driver, without treating you as if you need your driving ability retested.

I think you still take the written test, because State laws differ regarding driving, but you don't start at Square One.
