Sarouk (noun) - a high quality Persian rug from Markazi Province in Iran.

The Victorian house had a large sarouk on the entryway floor.

Having never heard that word before, I would think Sarouk was some type of dance.

My area rug just might be a sarouk. Never heard the name either but looking at images on net it probably is.
