Serendip was he Arabic name for the island of Coylon,
now called Sri Lanka.
The legend was that every time the Princesof Serendip
went on a journey, they found valuable things he weren't looking for.
Because they were good men of high character, they found unsought blessings
and prosperity along the way.
So, finding something you weren't looking for has become called Serendipity.
