Word of the Day... Theorem

Aunt Marg

SF VIP
Theorem:
  • An idea that has been demonstrated as true or is assumed to be so demonstrable.
  • A proposition that has been or is to be proved on the basis of explicit assumptions.
  • To reduce to or formulate as a theorem.

Applying the word theorem further, more scientifically...

Theorems, Corollaries, Lemmas
  • A Theorem is a major result
  • A Corollary is a theorem that follows on from another theorem
  • A Lemma is a small result (less important than a theorem)

It might be difficult to deduce the original theorem, from a conclusion. o_O:oops::unsure::giggle:

It seems that a theorem is more definite than a theory,
but
less definite than a fact. Or is it?:unsure::whistle::sneaky::censored:

I don't know what I am talking about. Perhaps I am just introducing possible theorems.:oops:o_O
But perhaps not!!!:rolleyes::confused:

Well, I tried to use it in a sentence.:giggle::geek::LOL::love:

Perhaps a theorem's corollary,
was sung outdoors, in a friendly group, while walking the neighborhoods, at holiday time.:)

Or was it the group itself, that was referred to as a corollary?:giggle:

Yes, that, too! LOL! :giggle:
