Word of the Day - Trope

Even though I know the definition of trope is ‘a figurative or metaphorical use of a word or expression’, the word trope doesn’t flow easily from my mouth.

It does seem that the expression I just used is an example of a trope.

Although they have the same meaning, I think metaphor sounds nicer than trope.

An Isotope should not be defined by a Trope.

Trope is a word that I'd type but wouldn't use much in spoken conversation.
