Word of the Day - Vergüenza

Vergüenza - the name given to the last bit of food left on a shared platter. Literally, it means "the one that brings shame" in Spanish because everybody feels a bit guilty about taking it.

Bob didn't feel the least bit of vergüenza when he snagged the last pork chop on the platter.

I give my last piece of chicken a verguenza just because I was feeling a little commiseration for it.
