Wordle game

One nice thing about this one is that although it's additive, you can only play one game per day. You get 6 tries to guess the word, then you have to wait until the next day to play again. At least, I think that's how it works. So it doesn't suck your whole life up.

Thanks for the tip, @Sunny! Never heard of it, so tried it out. Got it on the 6th try. Felt good!
Just learning the colors and what they meant took me a few tries. Green means it's in the right spot. Brown means it's in there, but in the wrong place. Think I know how to play it now.:)

Glad you enjoyed it, palides. I enjoyed the "brain exercise" part of it; you really do have to use a certain amount of logic when you get toward the end. ("Let's see, it needs one more vowel, and I've tried the others, so it has to be *, and it has to be in the * box, so what do I have left now?")
Sort of like moving around Scrabble squares.

Yes, I've tried it and enjoy it. I'm just bummed that they only update it once a day. I wish they would update it more often. I play Wordscapes on my iPhone all day. I've learned all the words so it's time to move onto something else.

I play Words With Friends throughout the day. It's another variation of Scrabble. Mostly I play with my daughter, and she nearly always wins, but I recently accidentally clicked on some fellow in England who plays about on my level, so now I have games going with two people. Of course, with the English guy, there is a time difference that gets in the way.

Wordle is great because of its simplicity. No graphics, songs or complicated directions.
You get 6 blank rows of 5 squares with a keyboard below that keeps track of letters used. All you need to do is guess each day's 5 letter word and there's only ONE word a day.
