I am in Australia and we mostly use british spelling - have never seen people spelt (spelled to some of you ) peepl and I d o a lot reading

Have seen peeps and pax as shortenings for people in some contexts.

Is this a joke? I did read the other day that "woman" is now also correctly spelled "womyn", apparently to remove "man" from the word. What? Man word bad? What a crock.

I've never 'ignored' any one on this board, but I don't usually read posts that contain improperly spelled words or loads of 'text speak' - of course allowing for difference in USA / UK spelling. Perhaps I'm a bit pedantic, but I feel that if something is worth writing, then it's worth writing properly.
