The new 4900-pound 2017 Tesla Model S P100D gets from a standstill to 60 MPH in under 2.5 seconds in absolute silence.

This is faster than any thundering Dragster's 0-60 time, although the dragster is traveing much faster at the 1/4 mile mark.

No Transmission, no Clutch, just maximum torque at Zero RPM from its 2 Electric Motors.
