Would you buy a Pressure Cooker?

Yes, had one when Rick was alive. Did not really like it, used it maybe 5 or 6 times. One of the first things I got rid of when I was down sizing. I could not even GIVE it away. Ended up throwing it out.
I prefer my slow cooker

It was nice of you to donate the pressure cooker. I would never buy one because I don't cook that much or enough to make it worth it. I also don't have enough room in my little kitchenette for another gadget. My DIL bought a pressure cooker about a year ago and she loves it. She makes meals for 4 people almost daily.

personally, i think many exploding pressure cooker stories are just that... stories. if you're reading this right now at 10:38 EDT on 6/26/21... i bet some are yelling... "i know someone who..." pot of beans maybe? split pea soup? you can find youtube videos of them exploding, but dramatic measures have to be taken to make that happen.

again... instantpot says you CANNOT "pressure can" in one of their cookers.

I'm really not interested in having one.
I prefer to stand over the stove all day..

I'm really afraid it'd explode on me!

I'll just stick to what I know. That always works best for me.

I'd love to have an Instant Pot (mainly because I like to buy gadgets), but husband, who does most/all of the cooking, says no. And I'd be getting it so that he could use it! Besides, left to my own, I'd probably fill the kitchen with gadgets. <lol>
