Would you have any facial "improvement" surgery done if you could afford it?

Or have Botox?

I have friends who have had work done and it really did take years off, but I'm not willing to suffer the pain. Tho I would love to have liposuction on my belly, my problem area.

No, I wouldn't go under the knife unless necessary. Even botox can give bad results sometimes, just look at all the horrible lip jobs that celebs have. I personally would rather look like myself, but older, than look like someone else. The closest thing that looked alright was the Lifestyle Lift that they advertise on TV...still, I'm not that vain to do it, nor do I have money to throw out the window for stuff like that.

Re Botox & pillow lips...they're the most ridiculous looking things ever! A co-worker had hers done and it was all I could do to keep from laughing when I saw her. You could have rested your head on them. How can anyone think that's attractive?

Agree with you there.

Takes a lifetime to build character lines into a face. No character lines = no character.

Plastic surgery should have stayed with it's original purpose, to restore a modicum of normality to damaged faces and bodies. It's become an absolute farce now.

I read lots of comments about Nicole Kidman being overly botoxed, but I think she looks far better than when she first came on the American scene. And her lips were definitely done, but to me they look better. She's the ONLY one I can think of that didn't overdo the lip puff -- at least not to me. Her lips were extremely thin, but there is such a fine line between looking better and looking ridiculous with that surgery.

Botox jabs may cause muscles to waste away into fat, scientists warn.

Researchers have discovered that the cosmetic treatment could cause harmful side effects - even areas of the body which have not been injected.

They warn that the jab - used by millions every year to banish wrinkles and plump-up lips - could cause harmful side effects when used over long periods of time.

For the first time experts have found that Botox causes muscle wastage in parts of the body not injected.
