I used to love my coffee but don't drink it that much any more. I don't know why but it makes me feel physically bad. So I've switched to tea and have been drinking plenty of it-sometimes hot and sometimes iced. I often have Earl Gray. I'm going to look for some other new ones too.

Are you familiar with the song "Englishman in New York", written about Quentin Crisp who described himself as "One of the stately 'homos' of England.
I don't drink coffee I take tea my dear
I like my toast done on one side
And you can hear it in my accent when I talk
I'm an Englishman in New York

I don't drink tea - only black coffee or occasionally chocolate. Mrs. L mostly drinks fruit 'teas' which I think are strictly "tisanes" as they don't contain tea leaf.

Tea tends to bring on nausea for me especially in the am. If I drink tea in the evening, I won't get a wink of sleep that night.

Coffee has no similar effect and I can drink as much as I want
from daybreak to bedtime.

I said "coffee", but that's only for breakfast. Otherwise, it's diet Pepsi. I used to like Chinese tea in this Chinese restaurant, but they went out of business. Other than that, I haven't had tea since I was a sick kid, over 65 years ago.

Macfan, Just curious. Why does that make you sad?
Because there's a myriad of things to drink that are way more tasty and 'interesting' than water (in my opinion of course). If I were to drink that much water, think I'd have to invest in a ton of those little powdered flavor packets to add to it . Don...

I voted coffee for my preference, have a cup or two every morning only, never throughout the day. I like mine with lots of creamer, no sugar ever. I seem to only drink tea when I'm sick, and I haven't been sick with a cold, etc. in years, always prefer my tea with raw honey. I like ones like Earl Grey, English Breakfast, Darjeeline, etc.

I love coffee, but I hate the smell of freshly ground coffee (not turned into the beverage yet).

I especially like it with a bit of Jameson Irish Whiskey in it. That is how I like tea, too.

coffee, first thing in the morning.just two cups ,no more.
