Would your parents have enjoyed posting on this forum ?

I can't even imagine it. My dad died in 1957 and my mom in 1967. Long before the age of the internet. Even talking long distance on the phone was expensive back then.

Yes my mum died in '73, she was very young only in her 30's but she could never envisaged what we have now ...

My father told me to never talk about my personal life. He refused to reach out to anyone for anything.

Mine was the same!!! We were never permitted to talk about anything personal, and certainly not anything that happened in our home...

My dad, at age 92, spends a large part of the day playing games on the computer. As far as participating on any forum, no way would he. I got my introversion from him. However, he does have friends and enjoys meeting for lunch, etc. My mom wouldn't have either. She really didn't like even sending emails much. I have to laugh because she took a typing course at the local business school and wasn't really very good at it. But she did tickle the instructor. My mom was an extrovert and it was easy for her to talk to people and easy for them to like her.

Sounds like you have wonderful parents, sorry you lost your mum...
