That was my neighbor across the road!! He had everything, I did not have to do anything!!!Ah yes, the disaster preppers had their hidey-holes stocked with dehydrated food, water, and plenty of ammo for the apocalypse that never happened.
Yeah, celebrated the take back of Hong KongDid you do anything before the clock turned??
Me neither. I thought the rest of the world was somewhat crazyI think I went to bed. Never got caught up in this so called disaster.
You were smarter than most folks I think, gauging from what we went through in the food biz back then. The guy in the video drained all his water first. THEN he filled up containers with water; too funny!
I didn't buy into any of it.
Yes, and what was so interesting is how the computer and food companies had a bust out year or two afterwards. Think so many spent up front money on computer upgrades and emergency food storage prep. Son has a software biz and it was low business wise for a few years after. Boomed before and "feast or famine" cycle hit.I was one of the people (my husband did also) who spent the 5 years prior to 2000 making project and business plans and implementing the plans to test, verify everything and make changes as needed so that it would be a non-event!
People who scoffed and laughed the next day that nothing went wrong had no clue that it was a cast of thousands worldwide who made sure nothing went wrong!
Yeah, maybe some folks actually bought stuff they needed!I bought a generator that I'm still using, almost twenty-one years later. Cool!
Ha, ha. Now that you asked..... I was a computer programmer/analyst at the time so I spent a frantic month in advance changing date tables in all of my company's software so it wouldn't crash. Busy, busy timeHard to believe it will be 20 years ago!!!!!!!!
Did you do anything before the clock turned??
