Nobody can explain his excessive speed at the time (90 Mph in a 30 Mph curve) but AMTRASH had to reveal that if CTC was operational on the first curve north of Philly as mandated by FRA the train braking system would have activated at the time and none of this would have happened.
BLET had no influence on Bostians behalf in court but at least they were there. Another issue is distraction, faulty equipment, undiagnosed microsleep and forced overtime and extra board duty.
