Yes I am back once again

Choo Choo Charlie wuz an engineer. I was one of a number of AMTRASH and Septa hoggers who testified on Brandon Bostians behalf in court to no avail but that was expected.

Nobody can explain his excessive speed at the time (90 Mph in a 30 Mph curve) but AMTRASH had to reveal that if CTC was operational on the first curve north of Philly as mandated by FRA the train braking system would have activated at the time and none of this would have happened.

BLET had no influence on Bostians behalf in court but at least they were there. Another issue is distraction, faulty equipment, undiagnosed microsleep and forced overtime and extra board duty. Think Brandon Bostian then look around the forums specially the Travel Forum. Take car all and have a nice day.

Looked up AMTRASH in the SF search engine. Am assuming Garee is Fast Trax, since that's the only person who's used that intentional misspelling here.

Fast Trax, do I win a prize?
Of course. I see you are on the West Coast and AMTRAK has received a rather large order of trainsets in Cali. They don't own any tracks out there so they must be operating on local railroad systems. When they start operating in non AMTRAK territory to boost initial ridership they offer reduced fares and other perks to passengers. I'll do some research and see where they are operating and what they are offering.

I love trains but rarely use them.

Short trips are unwieldy because I'd usually need a car at both stations.

Long trips are exponentially pricier than flying. I'd love to do a one-way 4 day cross-country train trip including a roomette for overnights but two seniors would run about $2000 per person, versus about $350 to fly. Even sitting up in coach for those four day (ugh... how punishing) would run over $1000 pp.

Welcome from PA!
