Yesterday, scuba training

Progress made at scuba training yesterday. Instead of exiting the pool in full gear, I removed my weights and handed them to staff person outside the pool. Next removed my bc, and easily exited the water. This will be the standard method I’ll use to exit the water.

I have no doubt that I will earn Open Water, and my other certifications before the end of 2021. I don’t know what skills I’ve yet to complete, but these are the skills I have mastered so far. Underwater mask removal, full mask and half mask water clearance, equalization, neutral buoyancy (trim) single stride entry, since entry, eLearning, gear setup, and breakdown. Weight dismount / remount.

Congratulations on all that work! I was friends long ago with a group of people who went on scuba trips together. One owned a scuba shop and one was an instructor. They talked about it all the time and even showed slides of their trips at a local restaurant.

@Mr. Ed congratulations on all that you have accomplished. Probably a silly question but are there different certifications for fresh and salt water? Do you need to show your qualifications to go scuba diving in a lake or the ocean?
