You can't make this stuff up

Pulled into a station because my car was running on fumes. The station owner had paid a homeless guy to paint the edge of the cement that the pumps were mounted. I accidently ran over his paint roller and he proceeded to raise cane at me. I was pumping gas and finally realized his issue. He wouldn't quit complaining, so I finally handed him $5 and picked up the roller. I walked over to a dumpster and threw the mangled roller in. Then I got back to my car and the same guy wanted his roller back. I apologized for running over it, reminded him about the $5 and told him I threw my roller away. He was still staring as I drove away. You can't make this stuff up.

Homeless and realizing that was probably the only roller he had,
PLUS ... it probably wasn't even his roller and belonged to the station owner
And now I had accidentally destroyed it and he couldn't get another one maybe ...
And he might would catch heck from the station owner for a mangled roller ...
I probably would have gone and bought a roller and returned to the station.

That $5 might have reimbursed the station owner for tools but did the homeless guy no good.

On the other hand, it wasn't your fault the roller was left where it was, for one
And two, if the station owner had left it instead of the homeless guy ... nothing likely would have been said.

The homeless guy was just caught in the middle and maybe was shocked and confused
Who knows, he might feel bad about accepting payment from the station owner for work done since the tool was destroyed
Or he may not have even been able to finish the job and got nothing. Who knows.

Okay, I'll quit over thinking it :ROFLMAO:
