You Don't Like It But You Eat It Cause It's Good For You

Anything you almost have to force down all the while thinking how a dietician would be proud of you?

Mine is canned salmon, I like a tuna fish sandwich but make that sandwich with salmon and I still think yuck.

What about you?
Luckily for me, I like to eat most things, so it's not hard for me to eat the "good" stuff. I like canned salmon as well. (I also like the bad stuff).

Nope! Firstly have never been a picky eater, texture and flavor most likely to make me reject something but i'll pretty much try any food before deciding. Secondly there are few foods that are the SOLE source of an imperative nutrient.

And i've long ago learned to listen to my body all the time because time and again my cravings (and not just when pregnant) were for things good for me. I know this because if i get craving these days and don't know why i'll look it up online and sure enough there's a logical reason.

Re Faywon's post #52 As a child/teen, I NEVER had a "sweet tooth" - in fact never liked cakes/cookies/desserts. I was diagnosed with diabetes at age 19/20 - I believe my body knew that diabetes was in the near future.

Fortunately, there aren't many foods that I dislike. Life is too short to make myself chow down on foods I don't like regardless of how nutritious they are. There's always something else that's just as nutritious that I do like, so that's what I eat!

I've always loved tinned salmon, preferably red rather than pink, although not usually in a sandwich.

I know a lady in Florida who detests the smell of mackerel (another one of my favourites) and I'm wondering if dislike of some fish is more common among females than guys. We need a fish poll 😁
I use mackerel for bait.

Nope. I'm way too old and grumpy to eat foods that I find distasteful. After a childhood of being forced to drink literally gallons of prune juice, I've rebelled.

I don’t understand. There are plenty of healthy tasty things to eat that duplicate the nutrients of other food a person doesn’t like. Eating healthy should be enjoyable.

I fear we are falling victim to the Super Food big lie. No such thing as super food. Real food is best.

Cilantro also tastes soapy to me. I found out that it's a DNA thing.
Yeah. My nephew pointed that out some years ago. It seems like everything has cilantro on it and yeah, it tastes bad. Meanwhile, wife could just make a salad out of it. The thing about it is that it's coriander. We do a lot of Indian food and I like coriander. I know, ones the plant, the others the seed. But it kind of defies logic to me.
