You have to find out!

I spent a lot of time fishing when I was younger and one time I was in my boat on the river.
I must have been anchored because something came floating by right next to the side of the boat in the slow current.
It was maybe 5”-6” across and rounded and the black hair was waving so that you could see the light colored skin.
As scared as I was to find out what it was I took an oar and turned it over and it was a dead, bloated cat.
As relieved as as I was that it wasn’t somebody’s head I remember it took me a couple of minutes to pull myself together.
I was so glad that it didn’t turn out to be what I imagined it to be to start with.

One time my dog came in from outside chewing on something. I had to fight her to see what was in her mouth. It turned out to be a mouse that she probably got from our pool filter. I did a mouth sweep and got rid of it as fast as I saw it. You have to realize, in my right mind I would never have touched that mouse because they freak me out. I didn't think twice about it when I did it. It was mind over matter. I couldn't let my dog chew and eat that nasty thing up.

GP44 I have a story similar to yours.

Swimming in the Gulf of Mexico with friends we saw what we believed to be a human head and torso floating in the water. We were freaked, none of us wanted to get closer. Finally myself and another guy swam over to the "head" only to discover it was a coconut floating on a bunch of seeweed.lol. Man were we relieved!
