You know New Zealand?

"Old Zealand" is the Dutch province of Zeeland, located in the southwestern Netherlands. It was named Zeeland by Dutch explorers, who in turn named New Zealand after it when they sighted the country in the 17th century. The name "Zeeland" is Dutch for "sea land," and it refers to the province's islands and low-lying geography. (source)

Fond memories. I lived in New Zealand back in the day, for a time…Whangarei, a small town about 100 miles outside of Auckland.

I lived on a houseboat that was moored in the town basin. This is a stock photo but that’s the waterway Where the houseboat was moored. Fun times!!
