I like using a shoehorn also. I sit down to put my shoes on. Considering going to bed at 7:00 is something I can relate to also.

For some reason, I don't want to sit down to put them on. I just want to get them on fast. Bam! Bam! Bam! I have my process that I do every morning to get myself together. If I do anything extra or take too much time for any part of the process, I might not feel like doing any of it. 😄
 
I went to church the other day and sat behind an old(er) husband and wife.
The lady leaned over to her husband and I overheard her say,
"I just let a long, silent fart... what do I do, now?"
The husband leaned over to her and said a bit louder,
"Replace the battery in your hearing aid."
 
In Albertsons and Tom Thumb they play "Takin' Care of Business" every day at 3pm to motivate their employees. I'm unfortunate enough to always be there at that time because I go grocery shopping after I finish at the gym. I hate that song now but I used to think it was pretty cool back in the day.
