Bless you, Holly, you are bound and determined to make a film star out of me. My mother was the show-biz person in our household. None of us 4 children ever showed any interest in pursuing a career in that business.I love that picture... I loved it the first time you posted... You never believed me when I said you looked like a film star in your nursing uniform... but you could have given Shirley Temple a run for her fame as a toddler ..such a beautiful baby

Lots of young people, happy to start a new life after the wartime childhood and after effects for several years.
We were all under immigration status so did not get to mix with the first class but they did come and join us in our activities as we always had something going on during the voyage which lasted 9 days.
The ship was icebound for three days due to gigantic icebergs and we had to wait for the icebreakers to get the ship moving. We were allowed up on one part of the deck and that is a sight I will never forget.
Totally blocked in and deadly silent. Breathtaking.
I was just fine the whole journey but my poor sis was seasick most of the time.
Funny how I can remember all that like it was yesterday
and right now I forget what I was planning for dinner tonight
It's great that you have fond memories of your voyage .. I can only imagine those huge icebergs. What an experience
Memory .. tell me about it. Lately, I can't remember the names of favourite restaurants

You're very nice looking, Holly. Even though you change avatars now and then, I knew they were all current. My intended message, which probably wasn't conveyed well, is that the artist created a faithful likeness - especially in the eyes - which I still remember well from your former avatar (without the sunglasses).I should hope so... my avatar is a relatively recent picture....
