This is one of my favorite photos. I am about three and sitting on our horse "Patsy". That is my brother Dale holding the reins. This was about 1948 and taken in the yard at our farm in Michigan.
 

Such a nice picture Farmchild, beautiful horse and you look adorable! :love_heart: Dale was a good big brother watching out for his little sis. :D

wow, that's one hot pedal car (I presume) ! I bet it was RED!!!

Me and my little sister in 1955. We are best friends now but I have a feeling I wouldn`t have minded drowning her back then. After all,I had been "the baby" for 5 years!

dress up day

rdw & Nancy Bender in Mom's old dresses.jpgOK while, while we're waiting here's one of me (on the right) and my best friend Sandy. Looks like 1951 or 52. Mom had a big trunk in which she stored her beautiful OLD dresses from her days as a city girl in Minneapolis. We promised to be VERY careful so we got to play dress-up AND we even got permission to rummage through the hats!:)

I vaguely remember the occasion of this picture, and that I wasn't happy about it. Probably because of having to wear a dress outside. Does it show much? :rolleyes: ;)

I know what you mean. Being a farm child I was only FORCED into a dress on Sundays! You sure were cute, even if a bit unhappy.

My Mom came from a large family and I had dozens of cousins. This is a Picture of some of us in a Halloween

The teens are the toughest years for social skill development, So lucky I had friends to go through it with... Giving guitar lessons even though I couldn't play....:cool:
