My son and I went on an adventure the other night and found a new Taco Bell. On the way home we discussed how unhealthy their fare is. High sodium, high fat, mystery meat slurry, high sugar...total garbage. Then we got home and sucked down every delicious morsel. Tonight I had Boston Market. Also not up there with healthy eating.

But when you just have the craving, cholesterol be damned, what is your favorite spot???

For both my daughter and I. It's lamb tikka masala, with Bombay potato and sag aloo. At least that's what they call it in the UK.

My newly discovered favorite is "Flame Broiler".

Essentially a rice bowl (2 sizes; Regular or Mini) with either beef or chicken, white or brown rice and green onions Also you may add veggies.

The "minis" are about all I can handle. They cost $4 & change. They're in several states now including Florida, Nevada, Oklahoma etc.

Yoy can "Google" it for illustrations and locations. Yum AND VERY healthy.

Popeye's mashed potatoes and Cajun gravy, anything from Cinnabon, pumpkin spice icee from Rita's, a pumpkin spice latte from anywhere...

I never crave fast food. Do you mean a hamburger and French fries as fast food? I would rather eat my own burgers and baked oven fries. What I term as fast food is convenient, but doesn't taste good enough to "crave" it.

RadishRose, I am like you, we do our own grilled burgers and fries...much better. But I guess if I had to pick a fast food option, it would be Kentucky Fried Chicken Pot Pie. It is really good and filling. We don't eat a lot of fast foods. But I do like a bacon, egg, cheese biscuit from McD's for breakfast on occasion.

I don't eat fast food at all. It really messes with my guts. Too much grease. It's really easy to avoid fast food if it makes you sick right away as opposed to killing you slowly by clogging your arteries, etc.

We haven't been to a fast food restaurant in about 3 years. We were traveling and the only place available was a MacDonald's. All I need are their greasy fries. I could eat them until they come out of my ears.

I used to like Chipotle's burrito bowls, but after their food safety issues, I don't go there. The nearest one is two hours away anyway. I like having a McD's breakfast about once a week as a treat, especially with the pancakes. I went to the McD's website to actually read the nutrition information and it was good to know.

I like it all but I rarely eat it anymore.

I miss Arby's curly fries and most any kind of pizza.

These days it's likely to be half of a submarine sandwich from the local Wegman's grocery, it takes care of lunch and dinner.

WHITE CASTLE HAMBURGERS!! aka Sliders. Hands down.. and unless you are from this area, you wouldn't understand.

Believe it or not.. these were our Thanksgiving dinner last year!.. One son had to work.. we helped other son move into his apartment that day. so we stopped at White Castles and pigged out afterward.

Remember them well. Went down really well when one had the munchies!

That's a hoot, if you grew up in Northern NJ in the 70's-80's you'd party at a club called Mother's then after last call...White Castle rat burgers...
