Your favorite freedom?

For me it's sort of a tie between the freedom to own things I can afford and freedom of speech.

I read a magazine article, yes, I still read those because my library has a magazine swap section. The article was titled "On Wednesday we wear rentals." It reminded me of bowling shoes when I was a kid because I did bowl with my friends and we all had to rent those yucky shoes. Not for me.

Freedom of speech is fundamental, being from the U.S., where we fought a revolution for the right to speak and be heard. So I guess I'll go with this one because if you cannot speak your mind and heart, you sort of cease to exist as an individual. It would make me feel soulless.

What freedom do you most value?

Freedom of Speech.. which in the UK is becoming less and less of the people's right...

Freedom to go where I please...

Freedom to not be incarcerated by a corrupt government and law enforcement as in many other countries...

All Freedom please ……to do whatever one likes !….. Unless one is in prison, then it’s tough !! No freedom mate!!

There are so many God granted freedoms that are being erased by cancel culture, by politicians, by the willing followers of a certain political philosophy who are so willing and eager to give up their rights in order to control fellow citizens and stop opposing beliefs.

My most treasured freedom is the freedom of speech followed closely by the entirety of our Bill of Rights.

In the U.S., we're supposed to have freedom from religion, but a lot of people are trying to do away with that right, so I guess that's currently my favorite freedom.
Actually it's not freedom FROM religion, the wording is: OF not From

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

However if someone is forcing you to actually practice a religion I'm sure you could get redress of your grievance through a court.

Freedom of thought and speech.
I say" thought" because my Son told me on the phone that artificial intelligence
now in Japan can "read minds". Thought must ALWAYS be free.

As Americans, It's IMPARATIVE we make sure all the amendments to the Constitution
of the United States are always protected, as they now stand.

Yes, that's what I was gonna post.

And "Freedom OF Religion" includes the freedom to practice NO religion.

What Myrtle said.

The fact that we treasure our right to freedom of speech is why people get so angry when our speech (in any form) is censored, buried, suppressed, banned, or deleted. It's why dozens of privately owned online platforms that promise zero censorship and even zero moderating have sprung up over the past decade.

Like Chic said, The freedom to own things is a big one. And, of course, freedom of speech. I think we take for granted the freedom to own things. That can be taken away in an instant. I’m sure you have all heard the quote “You will own nothing and you will be happy.”Scary stuff.

Although we have the freedom to click the :ROFLMAO: icon on posts that are unintentionally funny due to irony, it's often wise not to exercise that freedom and just carry on.
