This song is coming to me. I know it's one of my favorite songs. I like how the lyrics tug at me while I struggle to recall the name of it.

Oh, wait. It's a Righteous Brothers song. It's a theme song from a B movie and that movie's name is part of the title.

"Oh my love, my darling. I hungered for your touch! A long, lonely time "

The name of it eludes me even though I know it very well.

I don't want to look it up, I want to remember it.

Unchained is a 1955 prison film written, produced and directed by Hall Bartlett (the first film directed by Bartlett) and starring Elroy Hirsch, Barbara Hale, Chester Morris, Todd Duncan, and Johnny Johnston. Based on the non-fiction book Prisoners are People by Kenyon J. Scudder, it is most remembered for its theme song, "Unchained Melody"
