yes it's all celtic folk music ... irish Scottish, and even welsh..... (y)

You can even hear it in some English folk songs..like Fairport Convention

I wasn't familiar with Sandy Denny. Nick Drake had a similar style of songwriting, but a few years after. I wonder if he was influenced by Sandy.

Both died tragically in the '70s — Drake from suicide and Denny from falling down a flight of stairs and hitting her head on concrete.

I'm a huge fan of Sandy Denny and Fairport... up until a few years ago I was still going to Copredy where FC play for a 2 day festival....

Sandy's death was a great loss to folk music.... I was not aware of Nick Drake...
