In the mountains ( The Sierra nevada).. are hundreds of tiny villages,. We visited 2 of them,. Izbor, and the other is the famous Spa village/town of Lanjaron. .. all the bottled water comes from Lanjaron for the whole of Spain.. It's such a beautiful little town, with roads that are not meant for traffic.. even tho' we drove there and everyone does drive, it's a bit of a nightmare because the roads are so narrow.. and in Izbor which sits high in the mountains we almost bought a house.. but we changed our minds ( well I did , O/H wanted to still ).. because there's only one main street.. one little village store..and no road up to the property, it's 50 steps up, ( at least this was how it was 15 or 20 years ago).. to most of the properties.. and a Donkey comes around twice a week loaded with fruit and veg on one day.. and fish and bread on the 2nd day. It's the only way they can get food up the steps to people who are unable to get out and get their own..
