Your Local News Media Personalities

Do you find yourself watching a specific local news program just because of the people on the show? Do you become attached to them?

Our favourite station has a great sports caster. He’s so darn amusing.

A couple of the news anchors are very articulate and you get to learn things about their lives. Not long ago they announced an anchor who had an incredibly infectious laugh had retired at 60 because of early onset dementia. The general public didn’t learn this for a couple of years. It was like learning your favourite cousin was ill.

Not all are perfect. One anchor stumbles on a word every other sentence.

Many there, we’ve watched grow up. Every so often we try a different change and only last a few days. Why we tried, I don’t even know.

We for a time watched a single channel for news not because we were fond of the anchors......... but they had a on the street reporter who seemed to get the worst assignments ever ......
it was always a game to see where they sent Debra now?
it was as if she was being punished ..... was kind of a game for us.

At this age, most of them seem like kids telling us what's going on in the world. I make fun of them for that reason. :)

I feel a bit more attached to the reporters at PBS NewsHour since they are actual reporters and not just media personalities.

Most of our local news casters are quite young, and they do a fairly good job. The weather forecasters are especially good, and I always watch the morning news for a pretty good idea on how to plan my day,
