I ran to the store yesterday evening. I brought back two bags of groceries. When I was unlocking the door last night I left one bag on the porch so I could unlock the door. This morning I went to take Lily out to relieve herself and the other bag was still on the porch. View attachment 27602

Once my wife drove home with a gallon of milk on the roof of the car!!
AMAZING!
Ken I have an amazing car roof story! You are from Texas , so you will realize how amazing this is. I had a mug of coffee I left on my car roof as I drove off. I drove from out in the country in Alvarado Texas down all the bumpy potholed roads into Dallas and when I stopped the coffee mug was still there!

Went to the beach Wednesday and put my wallet in the cars center console for safe keeping. Thursday, the wife neede to go to the store and as I was getting ready, I couldn't find my wallet. After several panic attacks, I checked in the car...and there it was. What a sinking feeling I had until I found it.

My latest was when I decided to pull my 50 year old sewing machine apart to give it an oil change and grease. Got that done very well, but I simply couldn't remember how to put it all back together again. Tried several times and decided that maybe it was ready for the scrap heap after so many years of service.

Woke very early this morning and decided to have another go. Took about an hour, but it's back up and running again.

I usually lay the pieces out in a pattern when I take anything apart, but didn't do it this time - I've learned that lesson now.

Going down the steps while thinking about something else, and forgetting to check how many steps were left. Big shock when I got to the bottom and realized there was an extra step I forgot about. I used to be able to do that without ever checking.

I'm fully aware that my memory is getting shorter so when I think of something that I need to do later I tell myself, "make yourself a note".......a lot of the time I forget to make myself a note.

I've been getting up at 5AM to let the puppy out. Usually if I get up myself within the hour, I put on my sweats and socks and go back to bed ready to get up and go into the back yard quickly. Lately he's had a stomach problem and is on meds from the Vet, so it's really been on my mind.

Last night my husband got up to go to the bathroom and I looked over at his clock and saw 4:14. I started thinking I should just go to the bathroom myself and put on my sweats so I'll be ready to go out within the hour. Got back in bed and looked at my clock and it was 1:22...reminded me of the other thread here on old eye tricks, thought the 1 was a 4. Too tired to get up again, I just stayed in my sweatpants till 5.

Yesterday I opened the bathroom closet and found a 1lb. package of butter. Went to the fridge and- sure enough- on the bottom shelf was the toilet paper. Spent the rest of the day laughing at myself.

This morning I came out in the kitchen to make my coffee. Opened the refrigerator to get the milk and put it on the counter top, poured my coffee, went back into the refrigerator to get the milk, and complained bitterly to my hubby that there was no milk for my coffee. He pointed, with pleasure I might add, to the milk container on the counter top. He came pretty close to wearing that cup of coffee.
