🤔 Maybe you were sleeping on your side without a pillow for support of your upper knee?

I've been rolling around in my wheelchair for the last four weeks because the arthritis in my ankle is suddenly too painful to walk on. It's in my left ankle because I broke my left leg 16 years ago and have been walking with extra stress on my left ankle ever since. It is now fed up.

My right knee has been doing more than it's fair share for 16 years, too, and it is almost fed up.

Yesterday I sprained something in my side while lifting myself out of the wheel chair. I am now fed up.

I've managed to keep up with most of my housework, although it takes everything three times as long. Except I can't vacuum the carpet! I tried and I just got all tangled up and hurt my shoulder ( fed-up.)

Has anyone ever had good suction from a cordless vacuum?

That's terrible, Della. Maybe winter-aggravated arthritis? Feel better soon!

Della: I haven't had much success with cordless vacuum cleaners. They don't seem to have the suction of the electric ones.
I persevere with them as they seem to just skim over the surface and doesn't get into the corners. Can't you apply through your council to have someone to come every fortnight to do the vacuuming? My sister has a great cleaner and they only charge the minimal fee. Good luck with that one.

Della, I have the same thing re cleaning. I use a chair for scooting around, but couldn't vacuum so I bought a cordless and not strong enough. So then I bought a Eureka Mighty Mite and I love it! Easier to use, has better suction and several interchanable tools for doing everything. Its small so stores easily too. Now if I could just get it to put on the fitted bottom sheet on my bed!

Cool, Dusty! I've never had that type, always just uprights. It might be time to try it!

Most of my friends seem to have regular cleaners who they would recommend and it may come to that, but I kind of like having a little bit of house work to do every day so I don't feel completely useless. Still I can see hiring someone once a month to do the hardest things -- like vacuuming and those fitted bottom sheets Dusty's talking about.
