Ehhh…….I was painfully shy and insecure but got around it by being the class clown. I figured early that I'd rather have them laughing with me than at me.

I was always in trouble and mischief till I was about 16, Then I had to smarten up cuz my old man kicked me out... Mom was furious with him, but I never looked back, and never went back home to live...

Long hair-anyone who knows British TV series 'The Young Ones'-mine was like Neils-and pushed school uniform to the limits with huge flares on my trousers and platform shoes.

I would say for my parents I was a handful. I can pretty much sum up my teen years with two words(the two B's) boys and books. I was quite the scholarly type through school and always in my books and studying, but what was my downfall was boys. It drove my parents crazy. I think from the age of 13 to 17 I had a different crush every other week and I can't even count how many boyfriends that came and went. My dad went from dark hair to grey in those years.

I'm not sure what you mean by "trouble maker". I was a kid, going to Catholic school, in a small New England town. So my idea of "trouble maker" was pretty tame.

I was an emotional wreck. I still managed to get good grades, as school was the most stable part of my life. Going away to college was a lifesaver.
