Anything goes. Whether you believe it yourself or heard it from somebody you know. No explanation or proof required. Emphasis on wacky. Here are a few I'd like to share.
The Bermuda Triangle is a gateway to Atlantis. People who survived it were human and those who didn't were originally atlanteans being brought back home because the gateway only lets atlanteans through. Heard from a medium.
Countless of people over the years told me they knew someone who knew D. B. Cooper was alive somewhere and got away with it.
My dad believed gods from every religion coexist up above and they bicker among themselves sometimes. We are all from Heaven and earth is a playground where heavenly people come down to play because everything is good up there and it gets boring. You play by the rules of the game. You cheat or kill, you get eliminated in Hell. You quit early, you get a timeout in Purgatory but eventually you'll be let back up. My dad also believed I was Wilhelm II reincarnated or something. I don't feel it.
A close friend told me that we are all descendants of the Martians. They depleted Mars and only a handful of survivors left for earth, destroying all their technology because it was what doomed them, to start anew. Wildlife here is mostly hostile towards us because we are not native to this planet. I don't know if he got it from Nat Geo.
My friend and I used to pay an old lady a visit every week after work. She was such a nice and kind lady who wouldn't hurt a fly. She gave us candies every time before we left even though we were in our 40s. I think she saw us as her kids. She lost them along with her husband a lot time ago. Anyway, she once claimed that she was a nurse (this part is true) and was in a team of nurses and doctors who treated Hitler after his supposed suicide, under the directive of the US government. This implies he was shipped stateside to be treated and survived.
I should add one of my own. I'd like to believe that there are multiple dimensions with copies of us. I'd like to think people who were gone too soon still exist out there somewhere living out the rest of their lives.
