You're gonna need a bigger boat.

Someone online said whales are territorial and this whale didn’t like the idea of this boat moving into his neighborhood.

On some level, some these intelligent animals might be gradually realizing that humans are responsible for the degradation of their oceanic environment and might be feeling resentment. Such a capability is not that far-fetched. For example, Regular Whales and Orcas have displayed a keen awareness of the human ability to render them assistance in emergencies.

Malevolent whale? No.
Angry whale? No.
Clumsy whale? YES!!! :ROFLMAO:
Yes, clumsiness is definitely another possibility. However, anger based on frustration cannot be counted out. For example, Orcas forced to perform tricks in captivity have have repeatedly expressed resentment towards their human captors by attacking them. Others in the wild are now attacking boats.

I'm fascinated by whale siting's. We were fortunate enough to view some early arrivals of a pod off the coast of Hawaii, the big island. We stopped our boat as required, and watched the show for about 30 minutes. They move south from the waters around Alaska to the warmer island waters to birth new calves and breed. They demonstrated their freedom in a great show.
