Since when does science dictate politics? You can introduce largely straw man fallacies about people claiming a clump of cells is not alive, or you can draw arbitrary lines about when a clump of cells becomes a person, but abortion is a political issue, nothing more, or depending on how you interpret the Bible, it's a Biblical issue. But science and the Bible will be nothing but pawns in this political argument. The issue will be resolved politically.
"The issue will be resolved politically."
I agree, but I doubt they'll just pick a number out of a hat. Congress should simply agree to protect every individual's right to make their own decisions regarding their health and well-being, lifestyle and future.

The bottom line is, if one supports a SC decision, how they arrived at it is not material to them. If one disagrees with a SC decision, they will consider how they arrived at the decision material to them.

PS: to be clear, I don't necessarily accept or not accept some/all the claims made in this Amicus - it just became public and there's lots of stuff to consider. But from what I've read so far, I think some (at least) is pertinent to this current discussion. I suspect much can probably be verified from public historical records. For example, Margaret Sanger's attitude about eugenics - and to whom it applies - is no secret.

PPS: for example:

A. Abortion Advocacy Rests on the Eugenics Movement, Which Is Rooted in Social Darwinism and the Elimination of Undesirable Populations.

There were 4 or 5 amicus briefs filed. Oklahoma call for reproductive justice et. al. filed the original Petition seeking:

APPLICATION FOR ORIGINAL JURISDICTION AND PETITION FOR DECLARATORY AND INJUNCTIVE RELIEF AND/OR A WRIT OF PROHIBITION FILED BY PATTON FOR OKLAHOMA CALL FOR REPRODUCTIVE JUSTICE ET AL-PETRS

We will never resolve the issue of whether the pregnancy is a fetus or an infant.
However, I have yet to see a woman wearing a blouse with the word fetus and an arrow pointing down.
