What exercise have you done today?

Every so often I change my typical exercise routine. This week I am focusing on tension strength training, slow steady movements in each direction. Typically a single rep takes maybe a second or so in each direction, this week I'm going to take five second reps each direction. Another benefit of lifting that way is it moves my workout into the cardio zone which I certainly need more of.

It's one of my least liked styles of lifting but incredibly beneficial, also less damaging to my aging body than moving heavy weight.

Bench Presses at 4 minute intervals. The last time I did this workout I couldn't finish the 12 singles at 75KG. So this time I lowered the weight to 72.5KG. Then becuase I was pissed off about having to lower the weight I did 16 singles instead of 12. With the 4 warm up sets that came to 20 sets which is all the spreadsheet I have on my computer will hold.

20 KG X 8
35 KG X 6
50 KG X 4

Started an osteoporosis series. Beginners is way too easy. I have been lifting free weights and other leg exercises but thought I'd follow this series. I did get good tips on breathing, core, and pelvic holds while lifting.
I'll try it for a while to get back to good form. They have more advanced videos.
