What is your favorite word, when did you first learn it, and why is it your favorite?

lately i seem to be using ----at some point ¬! apart from the obvious,,

F word, learned in second grade, I never forgot it because mom washed my mouth out with Ivory Soap. I still use it sometimes. It was my favorite word because I was told not to say it and I had older brothers.

She was prolly about 14 and we got t boned at an intersection.

I'm not sure which was more shocking.........

A mother of my daughters friend came to our house with a note our daughter had written to her daughter using the F word and it was a shock. My wife ask her about it an she said everybody says that. I just never got involved, but was still was surprised.. lol now

"Dude"

I had heard the word as far back as I remember but it was the Sea Turtle in "Finding Nemo" that turned me on to using it.

The "F" word, in it's several forms. It's dirtiness should be overlooked because of it's use.
You even hear/see the word on TV & all over the place in books.
Celebs are using it a lot on TV

How are those people using it other than for cursing? I mean, what other use does it have? Just curious.

I love the word plethora.

I first heard heard it on a TV news show, I was probably in my 20's. I had to look up its meaning.

I think it is, as my dad would say, a 50 cent word. Lol. Using it makes someone sound knowledge and highbrowed, IMO. It is rarely used, which is a shame.

The F word is my favorite word. I learned of it in 7th grade when I went to the public library and took out Lady Chatterley's Lover.

A year or so after, I began reading in newspapers & magazines about the Berkeley Free Speech Movement. I learned that (even though the main object was political speech) you could get arrested for saying that word! You could be fined! I was outraged, outraged I tell you by laws directing which words you're not allowed to say. Censorship, my young teen mind screamed.

Also, the F word is very versatile. It can be a noun, pronoun, adverb, adjective............ It can be used to express varied moods such as frustration, anger, grief, Joy, Love................Anything. It could express anything.

That is why the F word is my favorite word. I use it daily, several times a day as it is often needed to make a good point.
