Border collie saves chihuahua from being crushed under SUV

They are great dogs, very intelligent and good looking to boot. I read about a working one in Australia that was retired at 28 and lived a little longer. I always thought dogs die at the most at 15, but I guess it depends on the breed. I think some poodles make it to about 18. Rottweilers make it to only about 10.

We used to have a collie (jenny) when DD was little, very smart dogs, that was an incredible act !!!... and as we have a chihuahua now in the family, I can imagine how relieved the owner was... One of my DD's dogs a tiny little mix breed dachshund was hit by an SUV, the driver didn't even know he'd touched him, it only takes a little tiny swipe and they're gone
 
Fast enough to be 'on time' and just enough bite to carry, and save the little pup.....Amazing !

And yet there are those that still say......they're just dumb animals....sad.
