Another dear neighbor died. He caught this terrible virus that's been going around. It turned into pneumonia and he died. I feel just terrible for his loss. He was such a gentleman, so rare these days. Please take care of yourselves if you get this virus because it can be deadly for us seniors. (I still have a slight cough and I caught this over a month ago.) It's hard to shake. Be careful and stay well.

I know you got that virus with the cough and suffered for weeks with it, really poorly, I hope you get fully well soon... :love_heart:

THIS is one of the reasons why it's important to include your town. "U.S." tells me very little about my chances of coming into contact with this virus "that's been going around." Around where!? My sympathies, concerning your friend, but do the right thing and post your location.
 
The virus has been striking people all over the country, and I heard from some one that Oprah had it too quite badly so it isn't regional. It's seems to be everywhere. Starts out like a cold, but turns into a serious upper respiratory infection with a cough so bad you practically crack a rib from it. And it lingers for weeks. It kills mostly children without adult immunities to flu like viruses and seniors who are weakened by age.

Holly, he was vain about telling his age, but another neighbor told me he was in his eighties. I feel so terrible that he's gone. It's hard to lose dear neighbors. The weather is not helping us as it has remained cold and is so often raining. It's harder to recover and people stay in more in bad weather and infect each other. It's not unusual here to see people shopping wearing a surgical mask over their nose and mouth and everyone is washing their hands everywhere and using disinfectant wipes in stores where they are provided.

I am sorry Chic that you have lost a friend, it is
very hard, especially when he was healthy just
a few short days before.

I'm doing well Seabreeze and thanks. Actually, I started feeling better when I began eating lots of organic strawberries and blueberries. It seemed to help somehow. :love_heart:
