I love ya but

AZ Jim

R.I.P. With Us In Spirit Only
I don't feel at home here anymore. I will miss my friends here but this format is unfriendly to old guys so.....I am not a drama queen but I felt the need to let ya know I am not dead (yet) just gone. God bless..Jim

Jim, I hear ya

And I get it

Format change can be mystifying, aggravating, and seem just not worth the effort

But

It is

For you

And those of us that love you

…of which is most likely in the thousands

Anyway, just poke at it a bit

Tiny bites

Look around

Tease it some

No harm in that

The harm is losing you, cool ol’ guy

Sorry to hear that Jim. There's no point in asking you to reconsider, having already tried that with you several times you've obviously made your mind up.. I'm very sorry you're leaving, but we'll remember you very fondly.. take very good care of yourself.

Adios mi amigo...

Jim, we're all experiencing the change, and it's not that different than it was, other than appearance. Wish you would stay and give it a chance to see it's still home. 🧡 If you really decide to leave, please remember that if you have a change of heart, you're always welcome back, you are family here....hugs.

God Bless SB, I will miss you...

I get you Jim. It's like those TV house makeover shows...well this is not that radical, but where I once watched a daughter decide to please and surprise her aging parents by taking them away for a couple of days while the show's crew removed all their collectables, memorabilia, and furniture.

They removed the wallpaper, replaced flooring, painted walls bright pink, and added black and chrome modern furniture. The couple returned surprised and tried hard to look happy but it was clear they weren't and would always miss their old decor.

This forum had to change though because vBulletin was not going to last much longer and we would have lost everything eventually. Matrix saved us really. Drop in from time to time to say hello on our "Southern Porch" for a glass of Sweet Tea. We'll leave the light on 💡

AJ, I was one who strongly disliked the new forum look and functionality, at first. Now, after giving it a chance, I'm fine, and feeling right at home, again. If there are specific things that are giving you a hard time, just drop a line, and I'll try to help you work things out.

I don't like change, but I wish I could figure out what the big deal is. The procedure for using the forum is no different; only the appearance is different. I do miss the "moving" icons, however.
Probably other issues going on that have nothing to do with the forum?

Jim, I'm sorry that you're leaving but have you thought about that leaving may make it lonelier for you since your wife has passed away? I know speaking for myself since my husband passed away, this forum helps me from being so lonely. I can reach out to friends here or just read the threads by others. Since the format has changed, it helps also because I'm learning how to use it. It's your decision, but I thought I would share my experience with you.

I too will miss your posts, Jim, but I understand. Best of luck to you. Stay in touch.

I still visit the forum most days, but spend less time here now. I find the new screen format to be hard on my eyes after a short time.
